Jim Mahoney is a Senior exploration, exploitation, and acquisition Geologist with over 34 years of experience working in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia in Canada, and various International sedimentary basins. He obtained a B.Sc. in Earth Science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, and M.Sc in the same discipline from the Memorial University of Newfoundland both in Canada. Jim is experienced in both siliciclastic and carbonate settings. Over the years, and working with teams of geophysicists and acquisition engineers, he has undertaken uncommon exploration and well-drilling feats that continue to spice up his career success stories in no common standards.

His professional exploits had taken him to destinations such as Venezuela, East Africa, Argentina, and other places around the globe. Jim’s experience blends naturally with Getti Energy’s Corporate motto, namely, to “Re-define Innovation and Sustainability in the Energy Landscape”. His functional jurisdiction in the company is global in outlook. Jim co-authored a publication named “Passive-Roof Duplexes Under the Rocky Mountain Foreland Basin” – a piece that fits an indispensable component status in any exploration toolbox. His hobbies include traveling and being in the great outdoors.
