Patti Mailer

Patti Mailer (B.A., CPHR, SHRM-SCP, RPR) is a strategic Human Resource Professional with over 30 years of generalist experience in a variety of industries including retail, mining, high tech, warehousing, and distribution, and most recently 13 years in Oil & Gas in both Canada and the United States. She holds a B.A. degree in Communications from the University of Calgary, a conflict resolution Diploma from Mount Royal University, and also holds the CPHR (Canadian) and SHRM-SCP (USA) Human Resource certifications. Patti has built her career as a trusted partner, HR advisor, and coach, and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of HR gained from hard work and a personal drive towards over achievement.

Patti started her career in 1992 in a foundational HR role, and through hard work, passion for the practice of Human Resources, and determination, worked her way up to the Executive ranks in her field most recently as the North American Executive Director of Human Resources at a global, Fortune 500 company. Patti is exceptionally operationally-minded and her natural leadership style, strategic mindset, and ability to assimilate information quickly to make well founded decisions have been key to her success. She believes strongly that honest, compassionate, straightforward communication is key to achieving business results in addition to ensuring that organizations establish ways to recognize and reward employees for the skills, uniqueness, and expertise that they bring to work each day.

Patti has a unique way of mixing the “tried and true” with creative new ideas in order to find solutions that work to solve the everyday challenges that occur in the dynamic landscape of global energy. She very effectively adapts her wide breadth of knowledge to successfully work in a variety of environments from the field site, the operations center, the corporate office to the boardroom. Patti’s informal approach, integrity, ability to create high performance teams, and passion to ensure HR totally supports and integrates with the operations is the foundation of her success. In her spare time, Patti enjoys international travel, being a Mom to her 3 grown boys, and spending time with her husband skiing, biking, or gardening.
